A few days before she was scheduled to depart, however, she fell, injuring her foot. Unsure of what to do, Areva called Assist America who was able to identify a local hospital where she could seek treatment. There, x-rays determined she had sustained a foot fracture. Areva was fitted with a cast and given crutches, however she didn’t know how she was going to be able to complete her trip home. Assist America stepped in, upgrading Areva’s seat to business class, where she would have more room to elevate her leg throughout the flight. They also provided her with a non-medical escort, as well as making sure she was given tips to help her avoid experiencing any blood clots during her long trip.
Areva was grateful for their assistance, and with Assist America’s guidance and support was able to make it home safe and sound.
