Beijing, China and Princeton, NJ—China Assist, a licensed provider of Assist America, Inc., is pleased to welcome Yu Yang as General Manager, effective October 20.
Ms. Yu brings a wealth of knowledge in many areas, such as business-to-business sales and regional management. Most recently, she held the position of Assistant Vice President in Channel Sales for Mingya Insurance Brokers, where she led the B2B distribution of travel and health care insurance products, including but not limited to the Allianz Assistance partner products. It was there that she served as the National Sales Director, leading a large sales team to achieve substantial growth in both the China and Hong Kong markets. Before this, she had the unique opportunity to create e-commerce initiatives and successfully penetrated the previously closed China market by working with Chinese government entities as a strategic supplier of IT solution packages.
“Ms. Yu has the knowledge, skills and leadership abilities necessary to help China Assist further develop the travel assistance arena,” says Steve Novkov, Assist America’s chief representative in Asia. “She has expertise in leading and executing development plans for enhancing company image and building networks. Ms. Yu is a Master of Business Administration graduate from the world renowned Thunderbird School of International Management and also has a B.A. degree in Economics from Nankai University in Tianjin, China. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese as well as English.
