Sharp Increase of Holiday Traffic Expected at DXB
An estimated 3.5 million travelers are expected to pass through the Dubai International Airport between June 20th and July 3rd. The upcoming six-day Eid Al-Adha holiday coinciding with UAE’s school summer break is cited as one of the reasons for the exponential influx of passengers. Both Saturday, June 24th and July 2nd are expected to be exceptionally busy, with departure loads of 100,000 and 305,000 passengers per day, respectively; the busiest the airport has been since 2019. Ahead of the anticipated rush, DXB advises passengers to plan to arrive early for their flights; 4 hours ahead for flydubai and 3 hours ahead for all other airlines.
