Travel Severely Impacted by Military Activities
The conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip is widely reported across all media as the situation continues to unfold. Travel in and around the affected areas has been severely impacted with airlines urged by regulators such as the US Federal Aviation Authority, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and Israel's aviation authority to use caution in Israeli airspace but with no outright complete suspension of flights. Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport reportedly remains open as of the afternoon of Oct. 10, several airlines had canceled flights to and from the airport, including American Airlines, Air France, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Emirates, Ryanair, and EgyptAir among others. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and El Al are still operating flights to and from TLV under altered schedules.
