Volcanic Eruption Prompts Evacuation of Hundreds in Indonesia
A volcano located on Ruang Island has experienced multiple eruptions spanning across several days, resulting in the evacuation of about 800 individuals in Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province. Located just 62 miles from the provincial capital of Manado, authorities have escalated the volcano’s alert level to the second highest on the country’s scale following the recent activity. Triggered by the recent seismic activity that has impacted the island nation, more eruptions are anticipated in the coming days.
